Petalo Dining Chair — An Organic Form in Full Upholstery
A dining chair built around a soft, organic silhouette, in which the open arc of the backrest flows seamlessly into the contoured seat, while the slender, gently tapered legs rise from the body like the petals of a plant. The entire form — from the backrest down to the floor — is fully wrapped in fabric, giving the impression that the chair has been carved from a single, continuous mass, with no visible frame or seam. The upholstery, in a textured mélange chenille in a warm graphite-grey, lends the piece a deep, almost stone-like character, while the fine weave keeps the surface alive as the light shifts across it. Each chair is entirely handcrafted: the internal structure is shaped and padded with foams of varying density, the legs upholstered separately, and the cover tailored and fitted individually, with careful attention to the even tension of the fabric across every curve. It feels at home in dining rooms shaped by contemporary, japandi, wabi-sabi, and organic-luxury aesthetics. A piece that gives the impression of having risen from the floor in a single, continuous gesture.
